RadComp 4.2 X-Ray Entrance Exposure Application
Description
RadComp is a downloadable Windows application that enables a radiology practitioner, physicist, or researcher to tabulate a patient's entrance exposures as a function of kVp, mAs, beam filtration, and source-to-skin distance for specific radiological projections. The accuracy of RadComp benefits from (but does not require) a simple calibration procedure using a radiation monitor, after which its accuracy in calculating entrance exposures over a wide range of variables is about +/-5%. RadComp can accommodate radiography, fluoroscopy, cinefluorography, and mammography (for Mo x-ray spectra only). RadComp has received highly complimentary reviews in the journal 'Radiology'. A free comprehensive RadComp user's manual can also be downloaded. This manual contains the activation key needed to activate RadComp.
