PRESENT & PAST RESEARCH INTERESTS
Neutron Capture Therapy: micro-dosimetry, treatment planning, nuclear assay, epithermal beam development, animal & human studies, research program management. This has been my main research activity throughout a large part of my academic career.
 
CT-based bone density measurement techniques: development, implementation, and optimization (co-inventor of QCT, early researcher on dual-energy CT applications).
 
Development of dual-energy digital mammography using a molybdenum contrast agent (inventor). Patent applied for.
 
Development of  dual-energy digital mammography using iodine as a contrast agent and X-ray spectra produced by tellurium and cerium (inventor). 
Patent applied for.

Algorithms for monitoring of individual patient exposures from x-ray procedures. RadComp, an x-ray radiation dose application (inventor).
 
The deuteron as a proton-complementary particle for treatment of eye tumors and other shallow tumors where targeting precision is critical (inventor).
